How to Deal with a Forced Cost of Living Crisis ~ In Conclusion
In conclusion we all have different needs, and some are more complex, or greater than others. We all need support at various points in our life, and there is no shame in that.
There is also no shame in hitting a difficult time. After all a difficult time has been forced on most of us right now.
In order to deal with this forced cost-of-living crisis we must be there for one another. Community spirit seems to have been long lost in much of the World, and it needs to return.
The most vulnerable in society must become our priority, because as a society we are only as strong as our weakest link.
Our communities have broken down as a whole. People no longer know their neighbours well in much of the UK, and perhaps this is common throughout the whole World now too.
Gossip and misconceptions and assumptions have replaced friendship, kindness, and support.
Inner cities have become lonely places, and that energy has spilled out into the towns and villages too. The “I’m alright Jack” mentality has taken over, and charitable acts of kindness and support has become a rarity, instead of the norm.
Isolation has become a normal part of life. When it is in fact both damaging to our health, and devastating to most people who find themselves this way.
People freezing to their death, left to suffer in silence, and left to starve alone and feeling unloved and unsupported has to end! No one in this day and age needs to experience this kind of dehumanisation.
Preparation is key to get through this next stage. Yet with many already in crisis point and unable to provide themselves with basic needs we need to learn to support and share our resources.
Share knowledge, share wisdom, share time, share energy, share food, share clothes, share what you can with those who need it the most!
Money is not going to heal a problem of this magnitude.
Doing our bit individually will help enormously though and that help can often be done without the need for financial investment.
Working together as a collective will help enormously too, and so will bringing more compassion, love and kindness into our communities and everyday lives.
So, I now will close this out, in the exact same way I started, with the following passage. This is a time of great opportunity. Where we, the everyday people of this World, can all make a huge difference.
We can reshape our future as the strong and capable 99%. In order to do this, we must find ways to come together, heal together, change together, and live together more harmoniously.
